Hi, after looking for a new game to multibox, I came across your videos. Great work and I am really excited about multiboxing this game that I have never played. I spent years boxing Everquest 1+2, Runes of Magic and Rift using Hotkeynet and Isboxer.
So the advice i require is what is the best make up for a 5 man team, and are there any links to builds or forums with this info.
Thanks in advance and look forward to watching more of your great videos.
Thanks for that info. I have downloaded and reinstalled the client from vanilla gaming site and all is working good, so thanks for your work.
BTW, what I meant by the warlock is that they provide HUGE utility to vanilla wow regarding travel. Let's say you are in an instance, deep in one, and your tanks armor has just turned red, or your mage is out of arcane powder. Normally, you would Hearth back (or use auto unstuck on vg) and have to travel all the way back to the instance, walk all the way in. Yikes.
If you have a warlock, all of that goes away. The lock summons your tank, (you don't click accept yet, you have 2 minutes), your tank hearthstones home, repairs, then accepts the summon. Boom, he lands exactly where you were in the instance.
Also locks are #1 or #2 dps, depending on situation.
You want this to work. It contains all the multiboxing goodness! Make sure you have the macro /script focusme() in a button assigned to F10. Also make sure you are using my version of SuperMacro (you, of course, must be) and haven't overwritten SuperMacro.lua with the original version. That contains customizations you need.
In your hotkey net file , you'll notice the Alt-4 key has special handling. Alt-4 gets sent to all windows EXCEPT the one your mouse is in (the focus window). The focus window gets F10 instead, which tells everyone in your raid or party that you are the focus and they should be follow/assisting you.
You should see the message MULTIBOX_1 Focusing Silza or whatever your current window toon's name is in every other window.
This allows you to move your mouse to a different window, hit alt-4 twice, and have everyone be following/assisting that guy instantly. Great for when yoru tank dies, or when a few boxes get lost and stop following and need to catch up!
Everything is working fine apart from /script focusme() it does nothing i have changed this to /script follow_assist() and all is good
Aww great choice! Remember, though, you will need at least one warlock to move around the world at reasonable speeds.
Thanks furyswipes, i have created a horde team, Warrior, Priest, Shaman, Mage and Hunter, i do like to play the holy trinity and not just zerg. Hopefully this is part 1 of my raid and alliance was my first choice but easy mode just isn't me.
It has been a long time since i have used Hotkeynet but what! it still works and on win 10 x64 .
Looking forward to more videos
This is a great question. You can really go two directions with this--A) You can create an unbalanced DPS blast team (all hunters, all warlocks all enhancement shammys) or B) You can create a balanced classical 5-man team with Tank/DPS/Healer with the intent of running party-based (as opposed to raid based) 5-man content.
If you want easy mode, make at least one paladin and go alliance. If you want hardcore mode, go Horde.
I was able to farm bijous in ZG and make thousands of gold with just my first 5-hunter team. That got me started.
