Hello again,
I was wondering if you have still enjoyed Project Azeroth, more so than Vanilla Gaming. Especially now that you are raiding on Project Azeroth.
Also, any tips for leveling on that server? I read you can level in a raid there, but I'm not sure what the most efficient method would be. I have been multi-boxing 5-mans to level on Vanilla Gaming, but this would not work in a raid group.
Again, any thoughts are appreciated
Sorry to hear that. Thank you for the feedback though, I was about to start creating 40 accounts today! Now I'll keep working on my groups on VG.
Cheers
Sadly, the Project Azeroth experiment ended in a dead server. I gave my toons to Tankchay who stayed behind. With that, I'm back on vanillaGaming.org waiting playing my good old guys, and awaiting the "new core". There is, allegedly, a new version of the server code landing someday "before summer", that will fix many bugs in VG.
As far as comparing the two, Project Azeroth certainly had some things to like. Raid bosses were more correct and challenging, but unfortunately, so was raid trash. Also, since there was no economy, you were able to make money to pay armor bills only by vendoring items. The bosses gave out woefully little gold, not even enough to repair armor. So gold was always a problem.
VanillaGaming.org, with all its bugs, has one, major, HUGE thing going for it. Consistency. It's never down, has been going strong for about 9 years, and is never going anywhere. Surely it has 9 more years in it.
Blizzard, with its classic wow is NOT going to kill VG, so long as blizzard makes the wrong decision and tries to charge a monthly fee to play it. If blizzard goes with some sort of store funding model, or even pay to win, VG will be abandoned.
There's no point in talking about how to level on PA, as it is dead now. It will be relaunched in a new form on may 5, but multiboxers will not be welcome.
